Alien Trilogy: Top shots From Each Film

All three films from the original Alien Trilogy are works of the great, exceptionally talented directors who aren't only great with their stories, but stunning with their visuals as well. There should be a Alien Trilogy Frames book, like it was for the two Star Wars Trilogies, showcasing best screencaptures from each film. All three films are full of stunning shots and I wanted to showcase my top 5. But it was so hard to narrow it down to just 5 that eventually I settled on one more. The Design of the Alien: Alien 3

In Alien 3 , the Alien got a complete redesign, as it should, since it was to be a different type of a creature, but that design will define alien look for many movies to come. For example, the shape and look of the ribcage, the digitigrade legs and the hip bones designed for Alien 3 will remain in every alien design after that movie. Alien 3 was also the first time the Alien creature has been stripped of all of its biomechanicality, which would never fully return to the creature ever again, leaving only the first two films with biomechanoid Aliens. The creature in Alien 3 was always suppose to be coming out of an animal and be different than the ones in the first two movies, which was a fantastic idea to do something different but not different too much - it's simply another alien, but this time more ferocious and different looking because it comes out of an animal, and the aliens draw from their host's DNA - an idea going back all the way to the 70's. First Experience: Discovering the Alien Trilogy

My first experience with Alien Trilogy was very fractured. And what I mean by that is that I haven't seen the films in chronological order, and I discovered them years apart. Fairly often I notice online that the younger generation attributes admiring some of the sci fi classics to nostalgia. Even some directors do it, trying to cover their own inability to create an instant classic or at least a great and admired film. What some claim is that the hardcore fans of some films hold them in such high esteem because of the way they felt when they were young. That the wow factor they had seeing it as kids is psychologically engraved in them, therefore they tend to see the film through their young-selves' eyes. While it sounds plausible and perhaps is true in some instances, I disagree its the only reason for loving a movie, and at least in my case it is completely not true at all.
