Starlog has always been the best possible Scifi/Movie magazine, and you could always count on them doing some kind of Special on some big movies. Aliens was one of those few movies that had their own magazine from Starlog.
Aliens: The Official Movie Magazine is a popular and widespread collectible among fans, and its contents have been pretty well know. Surprisingly, many of the photos included in the mag aren't really what you would call a well known and widely circulated ones. Many of the shots from it, especially from the beginning, aren't included in any Alien book.
The Magazine features interviews with James Cameron, Sigourney Weaver, Michael Biehn, Paul Reiser, Lance Henriksen, Gale Anne Hurd and Stan Winston, so plenty to read. Naturally, it's filled with photos and overall it's pretty much a thicker sized magazine.
